Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride Montelukast Suspension is a combination oral suspension medication used primarily to manage allergic conditions and respiratory disorders such as allergic rhinitis (hay fever), asthma, and chronic urticaria (hives). This combination formulation helps alleviate symptoms of allergy and inflammation.

1. Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride:

   • Levocetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine. It works by blocking histamine receptors (H1 receptors), which are responsible for many allergic symptoms such as itching, sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and swelling.

2. Montelukast Sodium:

   • Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist. Leukotrienes are chemicals in the body that promote inflammation, bronchoconstriction (narrowing of the airways), and mucus production during allergic reactions.
   • By blocking leukotriene receptors, Montelukast helps reduce airway inflammation, bronchoconstriction, and mucus production. It is commonly used for asthma prevention and for the relief of allergic rhinitis symptoms.
